Lodgify Product Updates: Enhance Checkout With Digital Wallets

There’s no doubt about it: High season is here. At Lodgify, that means we’re hard at work to ensure our software makes your job as easy as possible—both so you can take advantage of the season’s high demand, and so you can enjoy the summer yourself!

This month, we have several new updates to share, including new payment methods and the finalization of our Vrbo messaging sync.

Impress guests with Apple Pay and Google Pay 

We are thrilled to announce a new feature for our users connected to Stripe: You can now offer Apple Pay and Google Pay on your checkout page!

This enhancement significantly improves your website’s booking experience by allowing guests to pay with digital wallets. Digital wallets aren’t only best practice for online businesses, they also have higher adoption rates than traditional credit cards and inspire greater trust in guests. As much as 46% of guests plan to use digital wallets, so it’s important to offer them.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are now activated by default in your account, but you can easily deactivate them from your Payment Methods dashboard in Stripe.

Streamline guest communications with our Vrbo messaging sync

You’ve probably heard about our new Vrbo messaging integration. We can now confirm that it’s officially rolled out to all Lodgify users!

Thanks to this new integration, you can now manage all pre- and post-booking communications directly from your Lodgify Unified Inbox, both on desktop and mobile. Any messages (and attachments!) you send from the Lodgify Unified Inbox will automatically appear in your Vrbo inbox, and vice versa.

Similarly, guests no longer need to check their email to see messages you send from Lodgify, improving their experience and reducing the likelihood of them missing important communications.

Payment Settings page updates for smoother onboarding

Enabling payment settings is one of the first things you have to do as a new Lodgify user. So, we’ve been working hard to improve the layout of this page to make it clearer, easier to use, and safer for our customers.

For example, the page now has a clearer design so you can quickly see which payment options are available, activated, and deactivated. It’s also easier to activate payment gateways, and you can deactivate gateways as well. These small changes add up to a smoother onboarding experience.

To help prevent fraud risk, we’ll also be notifying you via email whenever a payment option is changed in your account—just in case.

While we’re rolling these changes out for new users to start, they’ll soon be available to all Lodgify customers.
